How

Press the IMT button on your bank mobile app, get a code, and use the ATM! Offered by these leading banks on their mobile apps. Use any of the 100,000 IMT-enabled ATMs to get cash!

How

To pick up your IMT from an IMT-enabled ATM, make sure you have the Sender Code provided by the person who sent you the IMT.

Make sure you have received the SMS giving you the one time password and the expiry date of the IMT.

Go to the ATM and press the IMT button marked on the ATM (Usually, it’s the bottom-most button on the right-hand side)

The ATM will ask you to enter your mobile number. Type it in.

Next the ATM will ask you for the Sender Code. Type it in.

Now the ATM will ask you for the One Time Password. Type it in.

Next enter the amount of the IMT.

The ATM will dispense cash provided all four items entered in the ATM match with what the sender has set up.

How

From your bank mobile app, or internet banking portal, look for the IMT button or IMT option.

Enter the mobile number of the beneficiary. If it is your bank mobile app, it may be possible to select the beneficiary from the smartphone address book.

Set up a four digit sender PIN. You have to communicate this PIN to the sender

Enter the amount. This is limited to Rs 10,000/- per transaction.

The bank will check if you have the funds, and if you are within the overall limits set for you.

If there are funds and you are within the limit, the bank will send the IMT for you.

You will get a message from the bank on the portal once the IMT is created.
